Signing up for FindMyHousing is super easy. Simply click “Sign Up” on the home page, fill out the registration form, and you’re ready to go! Currently, you need to be a member of the Georgetown University community to sign up. Landlords - please use the “Landlords, Click Here” link.
How do I find my dream apartment/ house/room/parking?
Finding your dream apartment/ house/room/parking is a breeze with FindMyHousing. Once you create an account, simply click on the icon for what you are searching, and the map will automatically limit the options. You can click on any of the remaining pins on the map for further listing information and contact the owner if you are interested.
Who do I contact for help?

What is considered an apartment/house/room/parking?
Apartment: a section of an apartment building that contains its own bathroom and sometimes a kitchen and lounge
House: a whole standalone building that contains its own bathrooms, kitchen, and lounge
Room: a single room in a house that sometimes contains its own bathroom
Parking: a place where vehicles can be kept
What are the rules of using FindMyHousing?
FindMyHousing strives to be an enjoyable and useful tool for those in search of property. It is not, however, a social network or forum. We ask that all users keep their conversations focused on off-campus housing. Furthermore, we expect all listings to be legitimate and reserve the right to remove a listing if it is believed to be fraudulent. Keep it accurate, keep it appropriate, keep it safe.
Who owns FindMyHousing?
FindMyHousing is owned and run by students and alumni of the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.
Can landlords use FindMyHousing?
Yes, landlords are more than welcome to use FindMyHousing. They will have to create an account just like any other member but then go through an additional screening process before they can make listings in order to maintain community safety.
Is FindMyHousing free?
Yes, FindMyHousing is a completely free service. We will never charge you for using it, and we will never ask you for any financial information. Right now we keep our site up and running smoothly from advertisement revenue.
Is FindMyHousing safe?
FindMyHousing is an extremely safe service. Your personal information is entirely protected and will never be released by us to a third party. Currently, only members of the Georgetown University community have access to its services.
How do I post a listing?
Posting a listing is very easy. Simply click “Post a Listing” on the menu bar and follow the directions. Every listing is standardized for easy listing and search. Just fill in the information and click submit!
What happens to my listing once I post it?
Your listing gets posted to our site and expires in 45 days to keep content accurate and up to date. There is a contact form on the listing that sends you and email from inquiring users.
Do people see my email address?
If you are listing something, other users will not see your email address unless you respond to their inquiry. If you send an inquiry, the listing user will see your email address.
Does FindMyHousing share my information?
Absolutely not. FindMyHousing will never share any of your information.
If I’m not a student at Georgetown, can I use FindMyHousing?
Currently FindMyHousing is only available to members of the Georgetown University community.
